Caroline Cook

Caroline Cook studied graphic and communication design at theGraphische in Vienna and then completed the master class with a focus on graphics and painting at the school of the same name.

After her experience in advertising, she decided to go her own way and focus on abstract as well as conceptual art. In this field, she is primarily concerned with sustainable work. “Sustainable Art” she describes as both the emotionally sustainable way of working, which does not exploit its own capacities, as well as the materials with which is worked. She tries to use mainly 2nd hand materials, as well as mixing colors herself and recycling objects such as paper waste and plastic.

Her work is strongly determined by the power of the unknown. Chaos has a fascinating power for her, in which beauty is not always seen because there seems to be no structure. So she tries to make this beauty visible and work with the elements of chance and emotion.
