I was born in 1999 in Russia, but live in Vienna since 2018 and study at the University of Vienna.
I have not studied painting anywhere and learned everything myself. I mostly work with oil paints and oil crayons, but like to mix different techniques and experiment. In my artworks I deal with the themes of politics, Russian culture and traditions, childhood, also self-knowledge, eroticism and physicality.
Since I am closely connected with my native country, the theme is a leitmotif in my works. I use painting as a means to express my position. I don’t try to judge who is good or bad, I just ask questions, also to myself.
I find my works very honest and intimate. I am not afraid of the canvas and paint everything that is close to my heart. And I always find something new there that I had no idea about. I feel like I’m walking with my eyes closed – you can’t see anything, you can only feel everything and try to guess what it is and what it means. The creation of a work of art is always a kind of trance, at the end of which there is an absolute at the end of which stands an absolute liberation.
