Ana Loureiro

Sie studierte Malerei an der Fakultät für Bildende Künste der Universität Porto sowie an der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien. In ihrer künstlerischen Praxis untersucht sie die Beziehung zwischen Räumen und Erinnerung und entwickelt partizipative sowie interdisziplinäre Projekte. 2021 erhielt sie für ihr Projekt Substratum of Memories ein Staatsstipendium für Bildende Kunst des Bundesministeriums für Kunst, Kultur, öffentlichen Dienst und Sport (BMKÖS). Loureiro ist Mitglied des Künstlerhauses Wien, und Arbeiten aus ihrer Serie Tell me, how was your day? befinden sich in der Sammlung des Wien Museums. Ihre Werke wurden international in Europa und den USA ausgestellt. Ana Loureiro is a visual artist living and working between Austria and Portugal. She studied Fine Arts (Painting) at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and attended the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Her practice explores the relationship between spaces and memory through participatory and interdisciplinary projects. In 2021, her project Substratum of Memories received a Fine Arts state grant from the BMWKMS. Loureiro is a member of the Künstlerhaus Vienna, and works from her series Tell me, how was your day? are part of the Vienna Museum collection. Her work has been exhibited internationally across Europe and the USA.
